We’re the creative sister duo behind Martha & Hepsie, passionate about celebrating togetherness, optimism, authenticity, colour, and creativity. Our journey began back in 2011 when we took the leap to turn our shared passion into a full-time business.
With backgrounds in design, we’ve worked hard to grow our brand while balancing the demands of family life. Over the years, our bold and colourful homeware and gifts have found their way into homes across the globe, including appearing in John Lewis stores as part of their Made Locally initiative.
In 2025, we were thrilled to be recognised as part of the Small Business 100 campaign run by Small Business Britain, celebrating the achievements and impact of independent businesses like ours.
We’ve also been fortunate to collaborate on a wide range of exciting projects, from partnering with the British Skin Foundation and creating bespoke designs for a Deputy Prime Minister, to producing illustrations for a BOSH book and completing numerous private commissions.
We pour our hearts into every M&H design. Each illustration is born in our cosy Sheffield studio and brought to life with lively patterns and a burst of colour.
We spend hours on our product development, testing and sampling before we are completely happy with the final outcome and show you the final result!

Martha is up north in the steel city of Sheffield, where she lives with her hubby Duncan, sons Ernest & Morris and her cat Tally. Martha also works as a freelance illustrator. Find out more

Hepsie is based in the beautiful North Devon town of Barnstaple with her husband Roy, 2 children, Trudie & Wilf and a ridiculous Wheaten Terrier called Terry! Hepsie also works as a success mindset, marketing and strategy consultant. Find out more
