15 Years Of Us!
Fifteen years ago, we had no grand masterplan, just a shared love of beautiful things for the home and a quiet determination to create something of our own. What began as a conversation fuelled by big ideas, slowly grew into Martha & Hepsie Ltd and somehow, here we are, 15 years on.
When we look back, it’s the early days that feel the most vivid. The late nights packing orders, the excitement of our very first stockist, the nerves before trade shows, the thrill of seeing our designs out in the world.
It hasn’t always been easy. Building a small UK micro business comes with its fair share of lessons (some learnt the hard way). We’ve navigated changing markets, growing pains, family life, and the constant juggle of wearing every hat imaginable. Over time, we’ve learnt to trust our instincts, stay true to our aesthetic, and remember why we started in the first place.
Working together as sisters has been both our greatest strength and our biggest challenge. There’s an unspoken understanding that only sisters have we know when to push each other, when to step back.. Of course, there have been disagreements and tough conversations, but at the heart of it all is a deep-rooted loyalty and shared vision that keeps us moving forward.
There are so many moments we’re proud of seeing our products in customers’ homes, collaborating with wonderful independent shops, reaching milestones we once only whispered about. But more than anything, we’re proud that we’ve built a business that reflects who we are and what we love.
As we look to the future, our hopes are simple: to keep creating, to keep evolving, and to continue building something meaningful together. m & h has grown up alongside us, shaped by our experiences, our families, and the lessons these 15 years have brought.
